The purpose of the Agilent Laboratory for Chemical Analysis (ALCA) and Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) facility is to provide resources, instrumentation and expertise for chemical analysis and measurements of compounds/substances for academic, research, and business purposes. ALCA and NMR facilities are integral to the Chemistry Department’s mission to train next-generation STEM scientists and provides an advanced technology hub to the broader community to advance innovation in all areas of life and physical sciences. In 2022 the University partnered with Agilent Technologies to acquire new state of the art equipment allowing for new services and a more comprehensive analytical facility.
